Fun Photo ideas for Valentines day cards

Valentine's day is such a fun holiday for kids. Add to the fun by having a Valentine's day photo shoot! Here are some fun ideas to get you started.

Kisses- Have your child pucker up for the camera. If you have a baby have someone take a picture of you and your partner each kissing their cheeks. These type of photos work great as close ups on Valentine's day photo cards.

Hugs- If you have more than one child have them give each other a hug. This makes for an adorable photo.

Cupid- This idea works best for babies. Purchase or make a pair of wings and give baby a plastic bow and arrow to play with. How cute!

Paper hearts- Buy some heart decorations and let your child explore and play with them. Try to capture candid shots as they play. You can also have them hold a large heart in front of their face and have them peek out from behind it. Adorable!

Whatever type of photo you choose make sure to share the love with a custom Valentines day photo card from AddieKate.com!

Current Children's Birthday Party Trends

As a photo invitation designer one of the perks of my job if being able to witness what the current trends are for photo design. I get many requests for custom work that reflects the trends of the moment. I thought I would share a bit of what I have been seeing lately.

Most of the photo birthday invitations I have done recently have had a more modern feel. Parents are choosing to forgo "character" themed parties in favor of a more simple theme. Some popular ideas are polka dots stripes and using an initial as a common thread. This theme works well is you choose 2-3 colors and use that to tie together your party decor. Your photo invitation sets the tone for the party so be sure to check out some of our newest modern designs.

Some other popular themes include cupcakes, rubber ducky, trains, circus, winter one-derland, luau, flowers, monkeys, dogs or sports themes.

The common thread I have been seeing overall is to use one element as your theme and carry it through the entire party form the invitation, the food, and the decor.

Whatever birthday party theme you choose be sure to check Addie Kate Creations for lots of ideas for unique photo invitations!

Fun Winter Birthday Party Ideas

We have recently created some fun photo invitations for winter birthday parties and thought we would pass on some of the creative ideas.

Winter One-derland party-
If you are celebrating your child's first birthday this winter what could be more perfect then a winter one-derland theme! Decorate with a white theme and take advantage of the after Christmas sales to buy snowflake and winter themed decorations.

Winter carnival-
If you are celebrating an older child's birthday an outdoor winter carnival party can be a blast! Have a snowman building contest outside and then come in for hot chocolate and birthday cake to warm up!

Summer themed party-
Why not have a summer themed party to battle the winter blahs. Purchase fake palm trees and serve lemonade and other summery beverages to guests. You can even take it one step farther and have a winter luau!

Whatever theme you decide on we can help you create the perfect photo invitation at Addie Kate Creations. If you don't see the theme you are looking for contact us about a custom invitation design.
