Current Children's Birthday Party Trends

As a photo invitation designer one of the perks of my job if being able to witness what the current trends are for photo design. I get many requests for custom work that reflects the trends of the moment. I thought I would share a bit of what I have been seeing lately.
Most of the photo birthday invitations I have done recently have had a more modern feel. Parents are choosing to forgo "character" themed parties in favor of a more simple theme. Some popular ideas are polka dots stripes and using an initial as a common thread. This theme works well is you choose 2-3 colors and use that to tie together your party decor. Your photo invitation sets the tone for the party so be sure to check out some of our newest modern designs.
Some other popular themes include cupcakes, rubber ducky, trains, circus, winter one-derland, luau, flowers, monkeys, dogs or sports themes.
The common thread I have been seeing overall is to use one element as your theme and carry it through the entire party form the invitation, the food, and the decor.
Whatever birthday party theme you choose be sure to check Addie Kate Creations for lots of ideas for unique photo invitations!

Fun Winter Birthday Party Ideas

We have recently created some fun photo invitations for winter birthday parties and thought we would pass on some of the creative ideas.
Winter One-derland party-
If you are celebrating your child's first birthday this winter what could be more perfect then a winter one-derland theme! Decorate with a white theme and take advantage of the after Christmas sales to buy snowflake and winter themed decorations.
Winter carnival-
If you are celebrating an older child's birthday an outdoor winter carnival party can be a blast! Have a snowman building contest outside and then come in for hot chocolate and birthday cake to warm up!
Summer themed party-
Why not have a summer themed party to battle the winter blahs. Purchase fake palm trees and serve lemonade and other summery beverages to guests. You can even take it one step farther and have a winter luau!
Whatever theme you decide on we can help you create the perfect photo invitation at Addie Kate Creations. If you don't see the theme you are looking for contact us about a custom invitation design.

Holiday card solutions for last minute shoppers.
It is not too late to order traditional photo cards from Addie Kate Creations. We do not have an official "deadline" but cannot guarantee that orders will arrive before Christmas if ordered after December 15Th.
We do have a variety of options though that can help you out if you are still waiting to take holiday card pictures.
Our print at home option is a great last minute choice. You provide your pictures and we customize your holiday photo card, birth announcement or invitation. After we have designed a proof that is exactly what you are looking for we will e-mail you a high resolution file of the photo card. You can print this file at a one hour photo lab and have your card in your hands the same day!
Another way to beat the clock is our full service mailing option. You send us your excel address list and once your proof is approved we will mail your holiday photo cards for you within two business days. Talk about hassle free!
Our traditional photo cards still feature a fast turnaround time. After we receive your pictures we provide a proof within 24 hours. After the proof is approved we will ship your photo card order within 2 business days.

Custom Birthday Invitations are the perfect start to a Unique Celebration

Unique children's birthday parties are very popular with modern parents. With today's variety of popular party themes it is becoming increasingly difficult to find an invitation to set the tone for a party. Instead of choosing a generic invitation from the local party store more and more parents are turning to Addie Kate Creations to create a unique invitation that is one of a kind.
Custom card design is available through Addie Kate Creations at no additional fee. Your invitation is designed to perfectly reflect your parties theme and style. Your child is one of a kind, so why not have an invitation that is as well!

New cupcake themed invitation

I was recently asked to design a custom birthday invitation featuring a cupcake theme. I really enjoyed creating the cupcake graphic and incorporating it into the design. The customer requested a pink and purple color scheme which is perfect for a little girls party. This design will be available in our gallery soon along with a baseball themed invitation, a construction theme and a star themed invitation.
